Weekend art

I was getting pretty frustrated about painting....and then did this one. Nothing outstanding about it, but I like it! I really loved the underpainting and had thought I'd leave more of it showing, but ended up not. I wish I could find a style of painting that fits...but maybe, as my husband reminds me, it has to be about fun first!

The other thing I did was to try a pot melt with scraps of the fusible glass I have. It made this really cool one of a kind design...I will slump it into a plate, probably, although it still has some bumps from the second fusing....I am so hooked on the process that I've got another one in the kiln now....If it has enough clear in it I might make a face underneath it, looking through all the layers. The dimensionality is what is so cool, and you may not be able to see unless you enlarge the photo.

  1. Love what you did on those petals! Your glass is amazing but please do not show any more of the glass....I do not need to invest in yet another craft at this time. I do not need to invest in yet another craft at this time. I do not need to invest in yet another craft at this time. I do not need to invest ...
